My best bit was when we went in the really cool swimming pool-the floor went up and down so that I could roll in from the edge on my glide-away shower chair. (I'd had spinal surgery just before and couldn't get my scar wet, but I was able to paddle and join in the fun).
It was good also that I could be in a group with my friend and helper Sally and not be with my Mum all the time.
I really loved the rooms and the beds went up and down and there was loads of equipment to borrow just along the corridor.
I do a lot of water-based activities at home, but did so much new stuff on the Lake, which was great fun.
We went on a fab walk-off roading- and got to see an Osprey's nest which was amazing.
The food was nice and the chef was mad!
The evenings were great, the chocolate machine was ace and I can't believe we won the quiz!
I cannot believe that I actually went first on the abseiling- it was so scary but I was so determined to do it-especially when I realised that Harry was watching.
The swing in the gym was so exciting- I didn't get right up high this time-but it was a great feeling flying like that.
All of the instructors were amazing- they knew everything about our chairs and what we would need to feel safe and supported for the activities.
I really can't wait to go again - I'd love to try the real flying up the mountains as it is all so beautiful!
"I still can't believe that Tilly abseiled in her twenty stone powered wheelchair and was in charge of her own descent. I am still stopping people in the street to tell people about it.......they [Calvert Trust Staff] helped her to manage her fears as they understood just how much she wanted to succeed"- Tilly's Mum (Jackie)
