Returning visitors can't fail to have noticed our new web site design! Webmaster Gareth Tansey writes:
The JTSMA site has been in need of a 'Designer's Touch' for a little while, and it's been promised for a good few months now. I admit it: it's been my fault it took so long but for the best of reasons, getting in the flow of fatherhood, now with two little girls to cater for!
To go with the new web site design, we've also implemented a new feature to allow a visitor to switch the navigation on the site between using pop-up menus or the more traditional, accessible variety. The links for switching this are at the very top of the page - have a go! This is our company's first live web site to use this new feature, so I'd be interested to hear if you find it works for you - or not!
The content of the site is largely the same so you should have no trouble finding your way around, although one or two items have been moved for the sake of consistency.
I'd like to extend my thanks to my colleague Mike Finn of Intergage who donated his own time in generating the ideas, graphics and templates for the site. I can write software, but I can't make things look pretty by myself I'm afraid! I've been hard at work over the last two days making his fine designs fit into our existing content, moving things around a bit to make the most of it and updating images to fit in! For those of you who don't know, Intergage is the company that donates the JTSMA's web site and using our own software to allow the site to be easily kept up to date. You can read more about the why's and wherefore's on my new profile page where I've finally admitted to my presence!
It's quite a task trying to keep everything organised in what I hope is the most obvious structure to let you find what you need, given the enormous amount of information we now have on the site. I hope that you all find the site useful and easy to use. And, as I say at the bottom of every e-mail newsletter (you have signed up haven't you?) don't forget: if you have any suggestions or contributions for the web site please let me know using the link at the bottom of every page on the web site or email me at .
