Advice checklist - before talking to the media
We suggest you check out and are satisfied with the answers to the following questions:
- Who is commissioning this work?
- What is the purpose? (e.g. general interest?/ awareness?/ to back a particular argument?)
- Where, when and how will the finished article or programme be published, shown or broadcast?
- What are the benefits of doing this?
- How will my privacy of be protected?
- Is there a contract involved?
- Will I see the article / video / story/ programme before it goes out?
- Will I have any option to edit?
- Will I have the option to withdraw consent at any stage?
