Over the last 8 years The Jennifer Trust has contributed more than £600,000 to a variety of research projects. These have included: projects exploring the genetics of SMA, in the hope that a better understanding of the underlying cause will lead to improved treatment of the condition; efforts to find the most suitable medical and therapeutic treatment for people with SMA; conferences to disseminate and share information and to provide a forum for discussion. Our active membership of the international SMA community has ensured that vital research efforts are not wasted or duplicated.
We are currently committed to the following projects and welcome enquiries for further information.
