There are many antihistamines available over the counter at your pharmacy. Some preprations work better than others on some people. Things like Piriton can make you drowsy. There are also nasal steroids sprays like Beconase that can help, but these need a little time to work. Other practical ways to help may be to buy an air filter with a pollen filter and ioniser. You can get these from places like Argos.Maybe one for your home and one for your vehicle. Overall the best people to discuss this with are your GP and pharmacist. They will tell you the correct dosages and explain the different types. I have hayfever, but the way I tackle it is to start taking the medications just before the pollen season starts and continue it through the summer.

thanks 4 your reply chris we have had him on twice the reccomended dose of zirtec for a while now it helps but dosent stop the symptoms completely.Weve allready illiminated most antihistimes as they didnt work on him what so ever. Its mainly secretions that are the problem they get so bad he cant get an inbreath, were considering trying a cough machine and we're altering settings on his bipap to try and help.

I have suffered from a stuffy nose and ichy watery eyes every summer for as long as I can remember. This year while browsing the web I came a cross a site launching a FREE TV channel for health. The first topic was hay fever. I found the health tips have helped both my eyes and stuffy nose.
