Current Question driving lessons
I have adult onset and have never been able to drive. I am now taking driving lessons and really looking forward to getting out of my house on to the open road, though am concerned with my arms as they get tired so quickly, i will be learning in an automatic and have been told if my legs are not up to it i can use hand controls so can anyone tell me if this works well with tired arms too?

Hi, I have driven since the age of 18 (now 34).

I get tired arms and use push/pull hand controls and would suggest that you get an assessment of your adaption needs - try the motability website.

But I would certainly consider a cruise control, powered steering and assisted breaking.

So, there should be no reason for you not to drive because of tiredness, just go and have fun.

Good Luck
