A multisport day was held on 5th July for young people attending the Jennifer Trust Conference. Eight young people were coached by Nigel Macrow and Dave Sterland. It started with a warm up followed by different games. The group was split into 2 teams and practiced wheelchair agility by manoeuvring around cones against each other and played dodge football.

There was a buffet lunch followed by the bumpers for Powerchair football to be put on. A match was played with each team learning how to defend, pass and use their strikers to get the ball into the net. The goal keepers did a good job in saving many shots.
Everyone enjoyed the day where new skills were learnt along with a lot of fun, exercise and playing as a team!
As one player said "All in all the day was really fun, I would defiantly like to continue with it in the future and other people should try it because it is not your stereo type sports day!"
Thanks to the volunteers Jaime-Lee, Naomi, Kate and all who attended.
Many thanks to Nigel Macrow is the disability sports and development coach at Aston Villa Football Club. He coaches the Villa Rockets Powerchair Football Team. Also to Dave Sterland who is a disability sports coach.
