On 1st December the Specialised Commissioning Groups (SCGs) presented the results of the work they have done so far towards the national plan for neuromuscular services at a workshop attended by over 50 patients and families from across England.
Click here to read the draft. It sets out the standards of service that all neuromuscular patients in England should expect to receive. The service specifications will be consulted on and then finalised by April 2012, when the SCGs will start to implement them. They will also be announcing who will be appointed as National Lead for Specialist Neuromuscular Care.
