Ride In A Ferrari and Help Fight Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Saturday 3rd June 2006 - keep this date clear in your diary for this fantastic event organised by Roy Twycross! The JTSMA are delighted to be one of the beneficiaries of this event again this year.
What to Expect
For the fourth year running, this unique event is to be held in Dorset, at the Wyevale Garden Centre in Owermoigne, on the main A352 between Dorchester and Wareham.
The day will open at 10.00am and run through the day giving passenger rides up and down the A352 until 4.00pm. You can expect to see 15-20 Ferraris!
The organisers ask for a "minimum donation" of £10 to get you out for a thrilling ride in one of these fantastic cars. All of the ferraris are provided and driven by members of the Ferrari Owners Club at their own expense for the day. This is a truly unique and worthwhile event to attend.
Latest News for This Year's Event
Roy is now organising this year's event in earnest, and we'll be updating this page regularly with all the details. This year the profit made from the event will be split between the JTSMA and the Ridgeway Orthopaedic Ward at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, Dorset. Roy hopes that each will benefit to the tune of £1000 to £1500 this year.
Roy is currently canvassing a number of celebrities to see if they can come along to support the event this year and promoting the event far and wide with posters.

1/18th Scale model of the Ferrari F2002 Formula One car (one of 20,000 only) built to celebrate Ferrari 150th F1 win in 2002
A brochure pack for the Ferrari F430 Spider - upon launch of the car this would normally have only been given to prospective serious purchasers. Kindly dontated by Jason Steel at Meridien Modena, a local Ferrari dealer in Lyndhurst.

History of the Event
The Ride in a Ferrari days have steadily raised more and more each year since starting in 1999 when there were 8 Ferrari cars and £180 was raised for the then Muscular Dystrophy Group.
Over the seven years that Ride In A Ferrari has now been running, Roy has raised over £15,000 for the benefiting charities.
