Thank you to everyone who braved their fears by Walking on Fire AND to all those who also walked on broken glass too at our event at Wickhamford near Evesham, on February 29th.
The event was a great success and with all the money pledged we hope to have raised over £4,000!

The broken glass walk was the first we have ever organised and was great fun, it was amazing to see that the glass was real - not fake sugar glass as you see in the films, but broken bottles.

The team from Blaze proved to us the sharpness of the glass by slicing through some plastic with a randomly picked piece of glass!! Each of those who glass walked took it in turns to walk from one end of the glass to the other and then turned and repeated it again! The worst part of the walk was hearing the glass crunch beneath your feet!
Thankfully no one was hurt at all!
The firewalk, was great fun as it always is, the seminar beforehand was packed with entertaining quips and exercises. Once the fire was lit all participants were eager to step foot on the fire, whilst being encouraged by fellow participants and Vaughan and Summer from Blaze Firewalking! Unfortunately the wind was against us during the walk, so it was quite scary watching flames flicker across the fire path!

Thankfully no one was hurt and the general consensus from everyone involved was that they were all hoping to walk again!!
Our thanks go the team from Blaze who facilitated the event once again for us! |
