I'm hoping to raise money by doing the Great North Run for The Jennifer Trust in the name of one of my best mates, Wilson 'Stitch' Phillips, who has SMA. He's a fantastic young man who is great company and has many friends, including my youngest son, Linus, whom he has known all his life. The great thing about Wilson is that his condition doesn't define him, even of it limits him - he really enjoys life and lives it to the full- the wheelchair virtually disappears beacuse it's all about Wilson!, Wilson and his big brother Sammy, who also has SMA, live with their lovely mum & dad Emma & Philly in a house where the door is always open, the kettle is always on. 'The Phatheadz' make the most of everything in life and are famous for their birthday, Hallowe'en and New Year parties, as well as their legendary cake baking competitions! Wilson and his family have been fantastic friends to me, and I suppose that this is one small way to say 'thank you, you're really special, and you know you can always ask if you need help.
