With the growing prospect of major clinical drug trials we felt it important that we use this year’s conference as an opportunity for those affected by SMA, their families and healthcare professionals to hear from some of the top researchers in the field of SMA.
At the 2011 UK researchers meeting several of the key speakers highlighted the importance of two way communication between patients and researchers to ensure the best strategy for taking forward new potential therapies. Your views on the practical and ethical dilemmas that the researchers need to consider are crucial and we hope you will take this opportunity to be part of the debate, ask questions and hear first hand from the researchers.
