Your chance to influence the future of health provision for children (England)
The Department of Children, Schools and Families and the Department of Health are collaborating to develop the new Child Health Strategy, aimed at producing a coherent, joined up programme for the delivery of children's services in the future. To ensure that it is truly led by their needs, Opinion Leader research have been engaged to conduct an extensive consultation exercise to gather the views of children, young people and parents.
As part of this exercise Opinion Leader have approached JT via Contact a Family to help them find parents and carers of children and young people with health needs who live in England to attend a workshop session on Thursday 14th June between 12pm and 4pm at Kingsway Hall Hotel, 66 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5BX (near Holborn, Kings Cross and Euston stations).
During this session parents will be asked to explain the problems they and their family face, give their opinion on the services they currently receive, and help develop strategies to best meet the needs of children with health needs and their families in the future. This event represents a unique opportunity for parents of children with health needs to have their opinions heard at the heart of government, and help shape the future provision of health services for children.
Those selected to take part would be given £100 to compensate them for their time and to put towards any additional child care costs; and transport would be arrange for those who require it.
If you would like to be considered to take part please contact Ben Knight at Opinion Leader ( or phone: 020 7861 3285), giving:
