Women at one of Europe's leading technology transfer companies threw down the gauntlet at their male colleagues to add some spice to a fund raising exercise.
And the men at RTC North have risen to the challenge which has resulted in a racy but professionally produced calendar that gives us a glimpse into the after hours activities of 'nine to five' executives.
Fourteen brave volunteers agreed to 'lose' their shirts and ties in aid of the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
The tongue-in-cheek suggestion was made as RTC North announced its support for research into SMA, a childhood disorder that devastated the family of colleague, Michael Bath.
RTC North marketing executives, Paula James and Sarah Oliver, proposed the idea and were surprised by how willing their male colleagues were to get involved. Paula said: "I couldn't imagine smart, image conscious business executives taking up such a daring challenge, but they have proved all the girls wrong. It has been a real success and will do a lot to raise awareness of the Jennifer Trust."
General manager, George Clouston, who also posed for the calendar, added: "Over the years we have supported many charities but, after recent expansion, thought it would be better to get behind one charity and get everyone involved. We are really grateful to the photographer, James McCroy and Keyline printers for their help and generosity." |
