Angel Funds

The Jennifer Trust is always particularly grateful for the gifts people make which serve both to support our work and pay tribute to the life of a much-loved child.

Gifts are greatly appreciated, and are set to work where it is most needed. The Jennifer Trust is committed to providing a range of support and information services for all those living with or affected by spinal muscular atrophy, helping to improve quality of life whilst also funding research so that one day soon there will be a cure for this condition.

In the past, some families, friends and colleagues have told us that they would welcome the opportunity to continue supporting our cause in tribute to someone they have lost. With this in mind, we have established Angel Funds.

An Angel Fund is unique in remembering and celebrating the life of a child affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Anyone can donate or raise money for the Angel Fund now and as far into the future as they wish.

There are many ways that family and friends can make contributions to their Angel Funds. Here are some simple examples:

Donations for Occasions- Single donations pledged on special occasions, significant dates or anniversaries. Specially designed cards or postcards are available.
Regular monthly gifts by Direct Debit
Payroll giving
Organising a fundraising event
Getting sponsorship from friends and family to undertake a challenge
Participate in a Jennifer Trust organised event

If you feel you would like to proceed with an Angel Fund, please contact Allison Pratt at the Jennifer Trust on 01789 267 520 or email Your account will be established and any money donated by cheque, credit card or cash will be credited to the specific Angel Fund. Along side your main account at JT a Justgiving site can also be established so that family and friends can donate on line.

Once your JT Angel Fund is open, you will receive a confirmation letter in the post. You will be kept informed twice a year of your Angel Fund total and regular contact will also be made to provide support with your fundraising activities. If you would prefer this not to happen, please let us know.

There is no limit to the amount you can donate into your Angel Fund, however when the fund reaches £5,000 the Jennifer Trust will recognise this achievement by registering a star in memory of your loved one. You will automatically receive this information and all we will need from you are some basic details including which constellation you would like and the name of your star.
