The Jennifer Trust is often approached by the media with a request to interview or film someone living with SMA. We are always keen to help as this is a very effective way of raising community awareness and support. However we know that not everyone wishes to do this and that for those that are interested it needs to be the right time and have a purpose that they are keen to support.
To avoid putting people under unwanted pressure we have decided that we will post the details of any requests in this section of the website. This will mean that anyone who is interested has an opportunity to respond directly to the reporter. We will have made it clear to the media that anyone responding is doing so in their own right and will be expressing their own personal views. They will not be acting as a representative of the Jennifer Trust.
So if you are keen to talk to the media keep checking our website for any requests.
You may in fact have decided you would like to make contact with the media yourself. Whatever route you take, we suggest that you make sure you are fully informed and aware of what will be involved. We have drawn up a checklist of questions that might be worth discussing with the reporter before you go ahead.

If your contact is about fundraising for the Trust please inform our Fundraising team so that they can support you in what you are doing.
