Mad Scientists Take on the Amsterdam Marathon

Six young scientists - Duncan, Gabriel, Greg, James, Marcus, and Stuart - working at the University of Oxford have decided to participate in the Amsterdam Marathon on October 16th, 2011 in joint aid of the The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and The SMA Trust, two charities that support families affected by SMA and that play an active role in the search for a cure. Given that none of them are runners, and most of them don't even enjoy running, trying to drag themselves over 26 miles and 385 yards may seem like a rather unenviable task. However, they decided that it was well worth it to both raise money for and awareness of the devastating neuromuscular disease SMA.
